This last week Julius' parents little brother (Ben) and sister (Rachel) came to Salt Lake to have some fun before Ben entered the MTC. I'm not going to lie I was a little bit stressed b/c we are in the middle of moving back to Arizona and I had to get our house packed up as well as the office. To my surprise the stress disappeared and we had such a blast hanging with everyone. From playing Wii, longboarding and just having a good time with one another. I was amazed at how fast time this week went by.

Ben entered the MTC Wednesday afternoon-ish. We were able to walk around the MTC while we waited for Ben to be set apart, and the spirit that is there is incredible. It was so fun to see where Julius, His dad, Robbie, and my dad had all spent time preparing learning languages and getting ready to serve as a servant of Jesus Christ.

As we waited through the meet/greet from the MTC presidency I was overcome with emotion/excitement for Ben. I know he is going to make an outstanding Missionary. One thing that the President of the MTC said that struck me was the Band aid Theory. It went something like this, "As the time grows near to the final goodbye I would like to propose the Band aid Theory...The quicker it is the less painful it will be for you and your Missionary". That is true to so many things in life...The quicker we are to act on the promptings of the Holy Ghost the quicker we will receive the blessings the come from obedience, the quicker we are to forgive the happier we will be... The quicker we do things the more joy we will feel instead of the painful slow struggle of pulling off our "band aid" and procrastinating what needs to be done.
I love my family I love my in laws. I am truly grateful for them and the time we spent this last week... and I LOVE the TEMPLE
