Easter Pageant

We went to the Easter Pageant held on the Mesa Temple Grounds. It was our second time we've gone and still so uplifting and spiritual. Truly it is amazing how many volunteers there are to make the Pageant what it is, and I was in awe of how many in attendance there were. I feel so fortunate to live so close to the Mesa Temple and so blessed to be able to see the all of the hard work and talent of all those who were involved. We went with our really good friends Susie and Bryan and their two boys Tyler (the blond) and Jake (brunette). I love them to death and not sure what I would do without such great examples and friends they've been to both Julius and me.

Zion's Getaway

For Julius' company winter retreat/getaway we went to Zion's National Park up in Utah, where as last year we went to Moab. We left Thursday and came back Saturday evening-ish. It was such a good trip for us, to just get out of the "city" and really just enjoy a more simple life for the weekend...so cell phones, no school, no computer... it was fantastic.

We stayed in an amazing cabin with 2 other couples and 3 single guys, and before you freak out it wasn't your typical cabin. It was a 5 bedroom house with plenty of room for all of us. Julius and I actually lucked out with the bottom master bedroom which overlooked this amazing view.

For activities we played softball Thursday night with all of the guys (literally all the guys I was the only girl, but I'm not going to lie I threw better than most..so thanks Dad ;) and it was absolutely freezing...Especially from coming from high 80's in Gilbert to seriously high 30' it snowed a little.
Friday the boys had meetings all day, so the wives all went to St. George which was like an 1 1/2 drive to have a little shopping day. The best part was the Platinum gave all the wives 100 dollars to spend, it was so unexpected yet so appreciated... Then after getting back from St. George J and I went atv-ing which was a blast. Then Saturday we went horse back riding...That was probably the activity I enjoyed the most!!! So if you ever get a chance to go up to Zion's National Park do it! It's goregous!!!
