Friday Night Lights

Softball Style
My sister and brothers all play on a co-ed softball team and while Julius & I were visiting in Texas the team was short 1 girl. My sister convinced {more like threatened}me to play, even though it has been years people since the last time I played {I was calculating and ya it's been 6 long years of no softball}.
I was a little nervous and pretty sure I realized I've turned into a wimp because before the game my only concern was to not get hurt...it's kinda embarrassing to admit.

but

The game was amazing. I got two fly balls out in Left Center
after the initial shock of , "oh crap, that ball is coming to me" it all came back...
all the years of playing in high school & little league
it all.came.back
I enjoyed every bit of the game

As for my allstar brothers & sister they absolutely killed it.

Especially the {not so} Little One's
GAME WINNING HIT
ya. no big deal.
It was so fun being all on one team together.
I love them all soo much
&
can't wait till we have our own
Park Softball Team
we'll dominate

 It's about to get serious..over here

i'll have a whoopie pie, please

Hannah {my almost SIL} and I made whoopie pies and they were completely & utterly delicious
 A big thanks to mama park who over looked the entire baking project and made the frosting.
It gets so frustrating at times when regardless if I follow any recipe of my moms to the "T" it just never tastes, turns out or looks as wonderful as hers. One day, just one day hopefully I will get the hang of it..

done & done.

Genn & Colton

 A couple months ago I took some quick pictures of my sister and nephew. I just love these two so much.

Ready to Rock

My lovely friend {susie} and I went to Vegas a couple weeks back and it was oh, soo much fun. We dinned at some terrific places, shopped, talked and just had girl time. We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel and there definitely was a rock'n'roll feel to the entire place {which was both fun and then at times more of a oh, goodness but that's just vegas for ya}
One of my favorite parts of the trip was lazy day by the pool. No schedule. No time limit. Nothing but sunshine {& the incessant wind but more so the sunshine}
It was fantastic.
The absolute highlight of the trip was having girl time with Susie. I love that woman and feel so grateful that she is my friend who I can laugh with, cry with and just be there for me/be there for her whenever either of us need it.
Love ya girl!

{on the drive down...you could say I was a little excited}

 {lounging on the poolside bed until we got kicked out by security...rebels I tell ya}
