What a remarkable and powerful message given. After watching this message I feel renewed and invigorated knowing that with true perspective all will be well. Peace overcomes me because I know my identity and my purpose and listening to this over and over I realize difficulties come and the difficulties that weaken my heart will turn me to the Lord and that He is waiting to help me. I need to remember to always try to improve and allow the Lord to help me through times that I am weak. I feel so overwhelmed with love and feel so grateful for the blessing of an eternal perspective. All will be well.

saturday fun
We went on what was going to be just a fun relaxing trail ride...but instead we got a little more.
Let's just begin with how gorgeous St George is. I mean seriously it's ridiculous.
J and I had a blast on our bike ride we pulled over and climbed the red rock, biked through a river bed, rode through leaves (my favorite part) crossed some sketchy areas of the trail where the river had washed away most of the road minus the 8 inches where only the tires could fit... and I realized that my adventurist side needs some definite tuning and getting use to but am grateful for a husband who encourages me and tell me I can even when I think I can't.
thanksgiving + skype
Thanksgiving was wonderful this year. It was the first time preparing all by myself {granted we only had cornish hens so no turkey was invloved} for the two of us.Regardless I was still in much need of my mom's help soooo we ended up skyping all morning while both of us were preparing our meals. How grateful I am for technology that allowed Julius and I to have thanksgiving with family over skype. I am also so thankful for...
Julius
the Gospel in my life

There are so many things that I don't want to bore you with but I am grateful for the things I have been blessed with. This time of year makes me reflect on what I have been given and how I need to be a little better and to stand a little taller.

11.4.11
my blogging has been quite infrequent lately due to all the moving and all the busy-ness that comes with it. and looks like i'll be playing catch up...and begin.

a winter's home
Today after lunch julius and I thought we would visit the historical site of Brigham Young's winter home here in St. George. It's always special to go and visit the homes of past prophets and being in Brigham's winter home today really reminded me of our trip to Nauvoo and the spirit that I experienced there in his home in Nauvoo.
The rocking chair above has a piece of metal holding it together where it once had been broken.
The tour guide pointed this out to us and compared that piece of metal to the Savior and that he can mend our broken spirits, hearts and souls or whatever we may be in need of because we all have been broken at one time or may be feel broken, but the Savior can be the metal piece to mend and make us whole again.
I know this to be true and I know that Christ is the healer of my heart and soul and I am so grateful for the reminder I got o
f that today.

a {hair} situation
i was {drastically} overdue for haircut so i made an appointment this morning. i think one of the hardest things is finding a salon to go to while you're in a new area...ugh i hate it, but i found a good one today. my stylist was hilarious and we just laughed and chatted the entire time. i told julius when i got back...so do you think it would be totally awkward if i called her to go to lunch sometime? (i'm embarrassing i know..but hey to my own defense, i am in a new town and in desperate need of friends) and he didn't respond...
the hair feels lighter, more healthy and all over better. i don't know why i am such a procrastinator when it comes to my hair.
