are you in or out?

we are most definitely in!
i've never been a hamburger kinda girl - unless its a homemade bbq of sorts
but there is just something about in-n-out that i make an exception for.

delicious-ness? is that even a word..

with it being our last night in allen texas we thought with all of our packing efforts
we'd indulge in some in-N-out. our tummies are nice and full now just in time
for the US Open. Roger plays tonight..husband and i will be watching.

classroom craziness

during our stay in texas julius and i were asked to teach
the ctr-11 year olds sunday school class at our church.
it was our last class and we thought we'd take a quick picture to remember all of the kids.
they all are so intelligent and really just excited about life. it's refreshing to be around them, to listen to them and most of all learn from them.

the obligatory "silly" picture

"brother gillmore...can you like pick us up and hold us both?"
oh boys will be boys
regardless of age

such beautiful young women both inside and out.
i love getting to know the youth of The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
they have such promise and ambition. julius and i both feel grateful to have been given the opportunity
to interact with these young people and become friends.

laurie's baby shower

cutest decorations by miss sarah

kinda sad decorating skills but it was a last minute kinda of holy crap

so sarah made the cutest pom poms...and i made a cake

laurie was busy all day long getting her home packed up as well as the office.
sarah and i had to coordinate to make sure laurie was at home when i brought the cake over
and sarah put up the decor...
next made a quick phone call telling laurie i needed her help pronto!

she was pretty shocked and had NO idea...success

oh what a night

colton is my nephew and came to visit this past week so we had ourselves a little sleepover

colton and julius at pizza

we had to make a late night target run...as soon as we walked in colton said, "i love this place"
so sweet
but i think the sweetest thing was after i asked julius how he slept he replied
"terrible, i felt like a watch dog because every move or sound colton made i would get so concerned and protective and just wanted to make sure he was ok, this must be how dogs feel all the time"
(love him, he'll be such a great dad)
breakfast time...and introduced him to nutella
he LOVED it

had to get a picture of the fort julius made..if you look close enough you can see the little squirt

then my sister got off work and decided to join in on the fun. we went to an outdoor concert at the creek, had some dinner, watched colton dance his little booty off (so you think you can dance has nothing on this boy) it was a great friday night!

colton kept saying i wanna take a cute picture of you girls...
after many tried attempts this was the only one.
pretty adorable (minus the looking like reindeer)

he loves his momma so so soo much

his dance moves were ah-mazing...as you can clearly see.

this picture pretty much sums up the whole night...
i love that little boy in the middle (and it makes me so excited to be a momma someday)
thanks genn for bringing colton up for the day julius and i both loved having him here.

how can you not love this face

seriously. i know. he's the cutest thing ever. and he's coming to visit for the day! can't wait...my sister told me he said this when she was prepping him to come...
genn: "colton, did you know you're going to stay with uncle julius and aunt adria tomrrow night?"
colton: "do i get to sleep in the bed?  in the middle of julius and asia (can't quite say adria when he's excited about something) because that would be so cool..."

i am in love with this picture...i think colton with his arms above his head is what does it for me

hi, my name is adria

and.....
....
...
..
.
 i'm addicted
to essie nail polish.

let's be honest
what girl doesn't love a new shade of polish???
well maybe it's just me (but i highly doubt it)
so if you're in the market for some great nail polish that doesn't chip within
the first day of putting it on
 this is it.....

try it...but i'm warning you it is NOT my fault if you become an addict too

i love to see...

the temple
I love to see the temple. I’m going there someday. To feel the Holy Spirit, To listen and to pray. For the temple is a house of God, A place of love and beauty.
I’ll prepare myself while I am young;
This is my sacred duty.

I love to see the temple. I’ll go inside someday. I’ll cov’nant with my Father;
I’ll promise to obey. For the temple is a holy place Where we are sealed together.
As a child of God, I’ve learned this truth:
A fam’ly is forever.

"i love to see the temple" is one of my absolute favorite songs.
i believe in the words that are in the lyrics.
i know them to be true.
and i am so grateful to be able to attend the temple
and receive the blessings that are ours if we go.

As we touch the temple and love the temple, our lives will reflect our faith.
As we go to the holy house, as we remember the covenants we make therein,
we will be able to bear every trial and overcome each temptation.
