The Getty

The Getty

While Rachel was in town for the weekend we spent one day at The Getty Museum. It was enlightening, beautiful and haunting all wrapped up in a pretty red bow. The building itself was so neat. It was situated  on some of the hills overlooking downtown LA and the Pacific. I was in awe and in complete adoration by the talent and creativity of all of these incredible artists and I wish so badly I could create such beautiful things but I think some of us are here to just appreciate their work. LA has so much to offer and I'm always excited to experience it with family and friends.
(I wish I had pictures of the painting and murals but photography is frowned upon which is fine because preservation for future generations is more important)

We like baseball

Baseball has been are jam recently. 2 dodgers game and 1 angels game.
Dodgers vs Giants. It was both of our first dodgers game and it was awesome. Talk about a rowdy crowd. It was so entertaining and most of the time I was just laughing and giggling to myself. You know it's a great game when you get to watch Puig hit a home run and almost get in a fight while rounding third because of the "gestures" he was making to the pitcher. Priceless Dodger baseball.
Great seats thanks to our friends Andy & Levi.
Angels vs Mariners game
We left after the 9th inning even though the game went to the 16th inning.

Mormon Night at Dodgers Stadium
Elder Bednar threw out the first pitch and pretty sure I will never sit in the "all you can eat section" again.
We bought the tickets off of some friends and I would rather sit in nose bleed seats.
Too many people not paying attention to the game walking in and out of the aisle.

disneyland

Well, we moved to California earlier this year and I have a lot to catching up to do but let's start with one of the best things about Southern California.
Disneyland!
Amy & Cole our great Hawaiian friends were in town for the weekend and we made the most out of what little time we had together. Disneyland, sushi and games...does it get much better than that? We miss them terribly.

(side note: somehow all of my pictures have been deleted from most of my posts and I have no idea how this happened other than give a shout out to the culprit google+. If there is a google+ wizard out there that has a clue how to fix this I'd appreciate it.)

Our first disneyland experience together. Such a magical place.
The close up gets me everytime!

Not my cup of tea :)
...see what I did there? :)
